Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I am a trauma-informed, integrative psychotherapist whose focus is on interpersonal relationships, attachment healing, and mindfulness. Trained in relational and psychodynamic therapy at Adler Graduate School, I also hold a master’s degree in Women & Gender Studies from the University of Toronto. I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and am currently being supervised by Ivana Kolakovic to build my skills in Somatic Experiencing. Additionally, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to provide client-centred care.
Encouraging non-judgemental awareness and self-acceptance, I can help you to engage difficult emotions, make sense of your experiences, and challenge the behaviours and perspectives that no longer serve you. I will work in partnership with you to identify your concerns and harness your personal strengths, setting therapy goals that meet your unique needs. A greater understanding of your hopes, fears, and relationship patterns can lead to more intentional choices and freedom from self-doubt. By strengthening your relationship to yourself, we can positively impact how you relate to others and the world around you.
I work from a place of compassion and empathy with clients who have experienced relational traumas, such as childhood abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and systemic oppression to improve self-esteem and restore relationships to self and others. I employ evidence-based practices to address issues of anxiety and depression, guilt and shame, emotional dysregulation, family and relationship conflict, complex PTSD, self-esteem, motivation issues, and ADHD.
I have experience working with concerns around cultural identity, race and ethnicity, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation, and gender identity. I’ve assisted clients with challenges related to migration and relocation, cultural adjustment, feelings of “otherness”, and interracial/intercultural relationships. I welcome these issues in therapy and take an anti-oppressive and individual approach to addressing them.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hello! I’m Kateryna. I have a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario. I am a trauma-oriented therapist who provides special attention to the body responses and unconscious patterns. I once came across a quote by Viktor Frankl that deeply resonated with me: “The meaning of my life is to help others find the meaning of their lives.” This inspired me to become a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. Currently, I live in Toronto, and my passion for helping others find their life’s meaning has become the foundation of my professional work. My education spans three countries: Italy, the USA, Ukraine, and Canada, which has helped me understand various therapeutic approaches better. Living in seven countries and traveling to 54 has provided me with profound insights into how people experience and overcome challenges.
My therapeutic approach is based on the belief that finding meaning is at the core of the human experience. I use various therapeutic techniques, including psychoanalysis, NLP, TMS, CBT, “Rewind” therapy, and EMDR, and a new psychokisionolgy correction and integrative approach to help clients navigate life’s challenges and uncover their inner strengths. Therapy, for me, is a collaborative journey where clients actively engage in their healing process. My style is compassionate, insightful, and reliable, aiming to create a safe space for exploring thoughts and feelings without judgment.
Inspired by Viktor Frankl’s emphasis on finding meaning in adversity, I am dedicated to helping clients uncover their purpose and lead fulfilling, authentic lives. Whether in individual or group sessions, my goal is to foster a deeper connection with oneself and the limitless possibilities life offers.

Student Therapist
I am a student therapist completing my MEd in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto and holding an Honours BA in Psychology from York University. I am currently working under supervision as I move toward registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Before stepping into my role as a student therapist, I primarily worked as an addictions and mental health support worker alongside many incredible women and their children. I have also worked with unhoused youth as a shelter support worker, and as a counsellor in a day-program for adults living with developmental disabilities. In my work in the mental health field, I’ve been fortunate to support many individuals and families as they navigate trauma, relationships, mental health challenges, addiction, societal pressures, and issues related to identity and self-esteem. I have worked with diverse populations, including 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, disabled, sex worker, and unhoused communities. I bring my own lived experience as a queer woman, which informs my work and deepens my commitment to identity-affirming care for all. These experiences have helped shape me into a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and holistic therapist. My approach to therapy is compassionate, empowering, and grounded in the belief that healing takes root in connection – with ourselves, others, and the communities where we find belonging. I value connecting with clients from many walks of life and strive to honour each person’s unique identities, values, and sources of resilience. I believe every person already has within them what they need to heal. Together, we’ll create a space where your strengths, voice, and capacity to carve a path forward feel safe enough to flourish. Your authenticity will be held with care and met with my own.

Currently accepting new clients for virtual therapy. email: thomas@ivanatherapy.com
Everyone has their own reasons for coming to therapy. Our work together will be unique to your goals, presenting problems and needs and will not be “one-size-fits-all.” As a Registered Psychotherapist, I am collaborative by nature and my therapeutic approach centres on meeting my clients where they are at. In our work together, we may end up exploring how your thought patterns, feelings, and behaviours interconnect, we may examine the relationship dynamics in your life, or we may unpack the ways in which past experiences have impacted you. My therapeutic approach is dependent on what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to accomplish. The important thing to know is that we are in it together.
First, I try to build a strong feeling of trust so that we are ready to tackle emotionally difficult conversations that may come up. I have a lively personality and sense of humour. With compassion and sensitivity, I encourage clients to go outside their comfort zones and look at situations with a fresh perspective. You can trust me to be warm and empathic. Rather than telling my clients what to do, my aim is to help my clients decide for themselves – a much stronger recipe for lasting success. I look forward to hearing from you and working together!

Registered Psychotherapist
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and currently offer individual psychotherapy session to adults (18+).
I initially trained as a Psychologist (Doctor in Psychology) and have 10+ years of experience working in the mental health field. Through my advanced international training in France, the United Kingdom and Canada, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience working with clients from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds and also with individuals from diverse sexual orientations and gender identities..
The clients I work with seek support around the following challenges: relationship, boundaries, cancer populations, life transitions, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, attachment wounds, trauma, immigration or cultural identity, gender or sexual identity, LGBTQ+ community.
In my work with clients, I adopt a humanistic, relational, person-centred approach and I work through a trauma-informed and a non-pathologizing lens. As a Registered Psychotherapist, I trained in the Gestalt modality. Hence, this is another modality I incorporate in my work with clients. In addition, my therapeutic approach also draws from a range of other modalities such as mindfulness, somatic, attachment, cognitive or behavioural perspectives.
Sessions are interactive and focused on deepening awareness of how you relate in the world. This awareness can help uncover patterns and / or beliefs that may create ‘stuckness’ or suffering in the present moment. I also use compassion, humour and offer a safe, non-judgmental space to my clients.
I adopt an integrative approach. This means that our work is tailored to your individual needs and our sessions are focused on your therapeutic goals. The aim of our sessions is to empower clients, with support, in finding your own voice, clarity and confidence in order to navigate life and its challenges. I believe that support and compassion can help foster change, personal growth and development.
I am bilingual and can offer sessions in French or English.
